MyProtein Impact Whey is a staple in the bodybuilding online market and one of there go to products for many will be the Impact Whey as protein is the main starter.
A great value product offering a few different quantities there is a ton of flavours to taste. The ones I’ve tried are detailed below but they all get the thumbs up.
Mixability
Mixing is a piece of cake, especially with the victoria sponge cake I tested with initially. There is no chalky aftertaste with any of these, personally I tend to when possible stick these in the fridge and they certainly cure the craving of sugar for those with a sweet tooth. Suggested amount is 25g for a serving but you can easily mix two/three scoops and get a nice thick protein shake with no fuss.
Nutrition
Suggested service packs 21g of protein and just 1g of carbs. With the body being able to process between 20-25g of protein per food serving this sits nicely in the middle and isn’t packed full of sugar to hit that.
The Impact Whey also packs 4.5 grams of BCAA’s and 3.6g of Glutamine.
All this comes at the expense of just over 100 calories per serving.
When Should I Have Impact Whey Protein?
Impact Whey can be drank throughout the day to keep your protein consumption up. It’s not a meal replacement shake but will keep your protein intake in check.
A key time to consume Impact Whey would be within an hour of your workouts too, a key time in your body’s thirst for protein as it begins it’s muscle building phase.
Alternative Uses
Now you can throw this in some oatmeal to mix it up if you feel like spicing up the boring breakfast. For a bigger carb and protein hit mix it up with some cold milk for a great desert if you’re craving the milkshake.
There is always adding it to a smoothie or even combining with some greek yoghurt and fruit. Plenty of ways to help get the protein up whilst keeping the calories under control.
