Mypre is myprotein’s latest pre-workout release. This stuff is marketed on the site as the explosive pre workout that lives up to the hype, we’ve been testing this out to see what its capable of and if anything stands out from the crowd.
MYPRE – Product Overview
MYPRE comes offering a 500g tub in black and first off some blokes torso and he’s definitely been in the cutting phase for that summer bod. Frankly staring at that makes you feel like you need to drop and smash 50 press-ups there and then.
It comes in 7 flavours (when all in stock) which is decent for a pre-workout, we have been testing with blue raspberry flavour
Ingredients
Creatine
This packs four types including most importantly Creatine Monohydrate. For those familiar with training you will be aware of the benefits of taking as part of a training routine.
Put simply creatine helps boost the storage of water within your muscles which then keeps energy flowing and helps with recovery and muscle building.
Caffeine
Weighing in a 400mg this is a daily recommended dosage in one hit so enough to get you out of your chair, should give you some focus and alertness.
add to these main key ones you get your BCAA’s and a bunch of vitamins and minerals. All in all a combination to really give you a kick.
Flavours
Sour Apple, Lemon and Lime, Watermelon, Raspberry Lemonade, Orange, Grape and Blue Raspberry.
MYPRE Taste and Mix
The Raspberry flavour shows up like a bath bomb when you chuck it in some water, something that makes me pretty wary on first try but you get used to it.
Raspberry not to my liking as its a bit sour, not something i would recommend for the picky ones out there but drinkable. Certainly by no means my favourite pre workout for taste.
You really do need to make sure you get the mixture right but once you work that out its a decent and easy drink to deal with. Aside from the sediment left over its a pretty clean drink to deal with.
MYPRE Effectiveness
I’ve settled on half a serving with this mixture mainly due to the caffeine content. I feel that gives me the right amount of buzz which i think points out the mixture’s potency in delivery that pre-workout buzz.
In terms of focus i’ve found myself naturally pushing for that last set and pushing the weight up and the confidence to push.
In terms of pump i’ve had more but i’ve had less, i’ve not noticed much difference ultimately but it does come as part of the package, but i would suggest combining if you’re looking to really achieve the creatine impact if it suits your training style and targets.
The comedown isn’t too bad in comparison to others filled with more crap which is a massive plus if like me your workouts work around family life and you actually have to be a sociable human being when post gainz hunting.
