Ironlabs brings you a pre-workout described as incredible tasting. We thought we’d give it a whirl and see what else it has tooffer. Ironlabs currently have a few different products out there at the minute, including Test Xtreme which also have reviewed previously.
So we wanted to give this product a weekly trial, it’s been as usual a busy week, we are decorating rooms all over the house at the minute so the pressure of work and that are taking some tolls on energy levels. So a the minute workouts are really late at night, which i don’t particularly like. So with this pre-workout on trial this week i decided to give it a real run for it’s money and see how i got on with it first thing in a morning. Read more below to find out how that worked out.
On the face of IronLabs seem to offer decent value for money, but obviously that all depends on what it has to offer against other products.Buy AC8 Xtreme Pre-Workout
Creatine – Long standing addition to many a pre-workout now for a while, creatine works by helping to regenerate a molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This is your bodies main source of energy and it is the main fuel is intense activity that occur over around 15 seconds. Having more ATP available to you simply means more energy which means your ability to increase strength and gains increases.
Beta-Alanine – Supplementation with beta-alanine has been shown to increase muscle carnosine concentrations by up to 58 percent in just four weeks, and 80 percent in 10 weeks.
Caffeine – The benefits of caffeine are well known. Increases in energy and focus during workout should help improve the effectiveness of the workout and also keep your eyes on the prize. GAINZ.
Citrulline Malate – Another key ingredient for all pre-workouts. Citrulline Malate increases blood flow to the muscle meaning you get way more pump in your muscle during exercise which should equate to more effort exerted and therefore more gains.
The only downside to these ingredients and a slight negative for some will be the huge caffeine content contained in this product. At 400mg you are really taking a huge hit in one go, for those that are used to taking that and dealing with the effects of it then fine, but it could be a catalyst for some big energy crashes afterwards.
Real Life Test – Early Morning Workouts Are A Bitch!
So morning has never been a time I’ve particularly enjoyed, even with a 1-year-old in toe I’m still no more used to being up anytime before 8 than I have been for the last 30 years. But I need to keep up with the workout and AC8 Extreme would need to be up to it to get me going at 6:30 in a morning and doing any more than getting dressed.
Results I have to say were good, I was up at 6:30 and training at 7. So, I would head straight to the kitchen and get on this, no breakfast so straight into this stuff. I have to say I was more than a bit wired taking this stuff on an empty stomach, I needed a decent breakfast just to bring me down afterwards, but the workout was good which isn’t always something you can say for me if I try and exercise as soon as I get up.
As you’ll see this gets a good thumbs up from me, though if I had one issue it would be the high caffeine content as already mentioned. It’s just a bit too high for me in one go, I do have a bit of caffeine through the day but coming down off the buzz of 400mg in one go is just too much and you can really feel the withdrawal from that after the workout. But if you want/need that to get through then, by all means, this is a decent pre-workout.
I took the product for a week and generally have no complaints, taste was alright (I went for Fruit Punch) but a little bit sharp for me, the mixability had no complaints
I thought as a pre-workout it was definitely of value and for money wise it is decent. There are 40 standard servings in this pre-workout from IronLabs so it represents great value.
A worthwhile pre-workout undoubtedly and worth a try if you are thinking of a change.Buy AC8 Xtreme Pre-Workout
