Our first little technical writeup but one in an ever growing market. Headphones are for some the key to a workout and its no surprise that with the health and fitness industries taking off that headphones and our need for quality have risen with this.
Now we’ve all had the calamity of catching phone headphone cable and watch as our link to the world disappears backwards and you forgot about everything else but how to stay on a treadmill. Well maybe you aren’t as clumsy but wires are a nightmare in the gym environment that’s for sure. The tech industry is here though to help and with bluetooth headphones now flying to market its a good thing for the gym goer of any variety.
Bose are at the forefront of style and elegance in the audio industry and it makes sense for them as a brand to move into this, what they have delivered is a sleek piece of equipment which has all the hallmarks of the brand.

When i first got these headphones and tried them they sounded a bit light on the bass. However i was able to quickly get around this because i needed to adjust the settings on the iphone they were linked with to be using speakers and also to add a bit of bass, i’m a bit of a classic rock guy at times so i like the music to have a bit of boom when you’re enjoying a bit of AC/DC.
These are stable enough but they don’t stay well if you’re running, a jog on the running machine might be ok. They can certainly withstand most gym manoeuvres with ease but i would probably not consider a full on cardio sessions in them as it can all get a bit sweaty with an around-ear setup.
If you are pounding the treadmill or outside something along the earbud route would be way better than these. I only really wear these for a weights session.
I love these headphones and they can match any at the gym for overall quality, with over the ear headphones it might get a bit sweaty but hey that’s the gym. These are up there with sound quality of any rival and the bluetooth is great and never skips a beat. The plus is i can even use them for phonecalls and they work great, so while you can tell the Mrs to leave you in piece and stop ringing and get straight back into your playlist.
An essential for me these days and they are an essential part of the gym for me. Battery life is great on them too, they go on for ages and don’t feel i really end up charging them.
Still on my original pair nearly 2 years later and they are none stop. I’ve tried out others but these are still my top pick personally in headphones.
